e.l.f. Wet Lash and Brow Clear Mascara Review

So, let's talk about crazy and wild eyebrows. Eyebrows come in all shapes and sizes. They are different textures and different colors. I happen to have eyebrows that are quite thick, but the only reason they are like this is because my individual eyebrow hairs are loooong and dark. Not that I don't like my eyebrows, but they can be problematic. They do what they want, and don't cooperate. At all.

I had heard about eyebrow gel, but it really seemed a bit weird to me. I just didn't know how to use it or what it was going to do to my eyebrows. Who knows, maybe it would make them fall out!? I was browsing the eyeslipsface website and I happened to come across the Wet Lash and Brow Clear Mascara. I figured I might as well get it in my next order, considering the fact that it was only $1! Gosh, I love e.l.f. pricing. It had decent reviews, too.

Basically, what this product is, is a double sided clear mascara. I didn't want this for the lash mascara, so I wasn't expecting much from that side. What the heck is clear mascara supposed to do anyway? IT'S CLEAR! Wow... What some people will do for money. But who on this good earth would be dumb enough to buy a clear mascara, anyway? I'm not sure. Sorry if I just offended you. Oops. Let's not piss off my readers now. But back to the actual product. One side has the brow gel, and the other side has the mascara. I did some research and learned that both sides have the same product in them. The only difference in the two sides is the wand. The wand below is the brow wand.

This is the mascara wand.

And just to be sure that the clear mascara didn't do anything, I tried it. It did NOTHING. It made my lashes the tiniest bit darker, but if someone were to put this on my lashes in my sleep without me knowing, I wouldn't notice a difference when I looked in the mirror. Therefore, I have decided that I will use both sides for my brows. It does keep them in place and makes them look healthier overall. The picture below is my eyebrows with the gel. By the way, I am not wearing the clear mascara on my eyelashes. The one problem with the brow gel, is that if you touch your eyebrows a lot with this on, the dried gel will turn into white crusties, which looks nasty. So, avoid touching your brows while you are wearing this.

To conclude this review, this product works wonders for your eyebrows, but as for the mascara... Pht. Clear mascara. Are you kidding me? So, go buy this. It's only a dollar. You may be able to find it at Target, but if you can't, go to eyeslipsface.com. Just go buy a bunch of stuff, because it's all pretty amazing. Most of it anyway.

e.l.f. Lipstain Review

To begin, I am a huge fan of e.l.f. cosmetics. I love their products. They are of high quality and they are extremely inexpensive. In fact, over half of my makeup that I have is e.l.f. You can check them out here. There is also a UK site here. I know you can also find some e.l.f. products at Target. I've found some at Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and I've heard there may be some at KMart and BigLots.

I bought my lipstain in the shade First Date. There is quite a large selection of shades that you can buy online. I would like to mention that the swatches on the e.l.f. website are NOT accurate. Do not trust the website for your swatches of this product. All my other items have been almost exact, but this one isn't, so if you are planning on buying this, I would recommend heading to Google and searching for real swatches of the color of your choice.

The basic idea of this product is to get lasting lipcolor. It works a bit like a lipgloss. It has one side that has the stain and the other side has a gloss that you put on top of the stain. The stain by itself is a bit drying, so if you are going out for a long period of time, you will definitely need the gloss, or you could top it off with a lip balm for a little less shine. The color of First Date is quite pretty. It is a light and bright pink.

The above photo is the lipstain by itself without the gloss, and the photo below is the stain with the gloss.

As you can see, the gloss does intensify the color a bit, but if you want a matte look, skip the gloss. One problem with the gloss, though, is that it detracts from the staining power of the lipstain. It pretty much just turns it into a long lasting lipgloss. If you eat, it is almost gone, whereas if you only wear the stain, it would last through the eating process and longer.

Overall, I still recommend this product, and did I mention that this only costs $3? What a bargain! Anyway, I hope you go and check out e.l.f. They have changed the way I do makeup and I feel more comfortable buying products and testing them out without having to spend a ton of money!
